However, the heavy spicing of the other Old J styles have been toned right down to allow the more subtle, un-aged white rum to shine.
With its clear colour and breadth of flavours, Old J Silver really shines in its versatility. While it can add an extra element to many cocktails, it's particularly good for light, summery, rum-based drinks like a Mojito, Mai Tai or Pornstar Martini. For something simpler, it also blends beautifully with simple fruit mixers such as passion fruit or Ting.

In 1740, Admiral Edward Vernon enforced a reduction in the strength of the British Navy's rum ration. When his men complained, Vernon suggested the addition of limes and sugar to make the drink more enjoyable.
Old J was created in honour of this unlikely mixologist, bringing Vernon's concept into the 21st century by infusing their special blend of flavours into the finest Caribbean rum.
